My name is Grant Douglas and I have been working in higher education for over 20 years, mainly as a teacher and as an administrator for international relations/study abroad. For the last 15 years or so I have been specializing in intercultural communication, with a focus on study abroad and international education . More recently, I have become interested in the whole question of TEL (technology enhanced learning) and I have had the opportunity to change some of my traditional-style classes into more blended and interactive, online offerings.
This growing interest in TEL led me to the ocTEL MOOC 2014, which in turn has led me to set up this blog.
Although I am originally from Newcastle Upon Tyne in the North-East of England, most of my professional career has been spent in France, first in Paris and then in Lille, in the North of France. I currently work at Lille Catholic University.
